I received a call from Essex police conducting a crime questionnaire, which inquired about my perception of their service; I wish my GP would conduct a similar survey to gather feedback on their services.
A representative from SMSR, claiming to be conducting a survey on behalf of Cleveland Police, contacted me; however, I'm wary of participating in surveys, especially given concerns about scams involving fake police calls.

Had a few calls from this number at work, so I called back later via an automated message and spoke with a friendly man named Simon. He explained SMSR does research for public sector organisations. After verifying my identity, he said the calls were about a police incident satisfaction survey. I had the chance to complete a telephone survey at a convenient time. Everything seemed legit. Simon provided contacts and assured me about my data handling. All good!
