American Express spoof call—what to watch out for! - +1 866-379-3643 ((866) 379-3643)
Summary — +18663793643
Expert Opinion
Calls from 866‑379‑3643 often claim to be from American Express and request personal details. Most reports describe the number being used for phishing attempts that mimic legitimate application verification, asking for SSNs, DOBs, or account numbers. Even though a few callers say the line is authentic, the consensus points to spoofed IDs and a high risk of identity theft. If you receive such a call, hang up, independently verify the request using the official number on the back of your card, and never share personal info until you’re sure it’s a genuine Amex representative. Report suspicious calls to your card issuer and consider placing a fraud alert on your credit files.
