The partner answered the call and asked the reason. The woman on the line said it concerned a “personal matter”. I dialed back after 30 minutes, hearing a different voice. He requested a reference number, but the lady hadn’t given one. He then asked for surname and date of birth. When I corrected the spelling of my last name, he said “a” and “e” are the same ?. I asked what they were calling about – he said a financial institution but didn’t specify which. The first caller said she’d call around 10:30, so we’ll see.
