If you keep getting calls from +61862713506, you’re likely dealing with an automated survey robocall tied to the upcoming Australian election. These calls usually drop the line after a short recorded pitch and never leave a voicemail. The safest play is to let unknown numbers go to voicemail, then block the number and report it to your carrier’s spam‑blocking service. Never share personal or financial details with a caller you can’t verify – a legitimate organization will follow up with a clear email or official letter. Consider registering your number on the national Do‑Not‑Call list to cut down on future nuisance calls.

This was an Advance survey about the federal election.
A spam call claiming to be from the Liberal Party.
When I called back, an automated message said, “Hello, you’ve contacted Advance. If you missed a call from this number we were calling to conduct a short community survey on the upcoming federal election…”.
Calls come in during odd hours and no voicemail is left.
When I picked up, an Australian female voice recorded a survey about the upcoming election, then the line dropped. This happened twice, so I blocked the number; surveys are a waste of time and the company’s communication setup is subpar.
Poll about the upcoming election.
A call came in at 7:30 PM from this number, and I strongly suspect it was a scammer trying to contact me.
That pre‑recorded election‑related message offered no value to me; I recommend simply ignoring such calls.
Since my phone identified the incoming number as spam, I didn’t answer and proceeded to block it.
Uncertain for sure, but it appears to be a dodgy number.
