Calls keep coming nonstop, and every time I pick up the line drops – so annoying.
Scam Alert: Persistent Internet Virus Hoax - +61 7 5646 7014 ((07) 5646 7014)
Summary — +61756467014
Expert Opinion
Relentless calls from this number mimic Telstra technicians spotting internet viruses, but they're classic scam tactics designed to trick you into sharing device access or details. Users report up to six daily rings, heavy accents, call center buzz, and persistence despite blocks or rudeness—classic signs of overseas fraud ops. Hang-ups or background noise are red flags too. Block the number immediately via your phone settings, and report to the Do Not Call Register or ACMA in Australia. Avoid engaging; scammers thrive on responses. If they push for remote access, shut down and scan your devices with trusted antivirus. Stay vigilant—genuine Telstra won't cold-call like this.

I terminate the call immediately after picking up.
I ignored the call and blocked the number; they'll likely switch to a different line.
The line continues to ring my home phone, causing a major health concern for us.
I received six calls today; I ignored them after researching the number and seeing complaints. Previously, a similar call claimed to be Telstra national barring, used number 0889321627, and requested Visa details, which raised suspicion. Beware—they sounded like a call centre in the background.
They keep ringing, yet when I try to call back it says "number disconnected" – what a hassle!
Calls continue even after I told them I'm not interested; sometimes a woman, other times a man. Six calls yesterday, three so far today. I'm just letting it ring now. Why can't something be done about these pests? They were ringing while I was feeding twin babies. I see no point in them persisting when they know I'm aware they're scammers.
Multiple calls this afternoon from two different call‑centre agents claiming to be Telstra technicians who say they've detected an internet virus on my computer, urging me to open it—clearly a scam. The same number rings the message bank without leaving any voicemail. Authorities should prosecute these offenders!
Fraudsters
These fraudsters are relentless. I reported them to Telstra. They waste time and keep dialing.
Today I dialed them at least ten times even after my husband was rude to them. I later answered another call and told the lady I couldn’t follow her, she said she was from Telstra and that they'd been monitoring our internet for two weeks – that was all I caught. Then my husband answered a call and warned they'd be reported to police for harassment, yet they called again – what a pain!
Up to five or six calls are received daily, with background call‑centre chatter; the callers claim to represent Telstra.
This is a scam; they aren't Telstra—just be aware.
They won’t quit calling even after I told them to stop and called them scammers. Now they claim to be Telstra and ring every few hours – previously they pretended to be Microsoft! Whether I pick up or not, they either hang up or just make noise, and when they speak it’s rude, pushy, and hard to understand. I’m on the do‑not‑call list! Ugh.
These fraudsters won't stop calling, even after I've asked them to cease and identified them as scammers. They claim to be Telstra, calling every few hours. Answering doesn't help; ignoring doesn't either. We're on the do‑not‑call list!
