Even as of late January 2023, this relentless caller remains active; I strongly recommend blocking the number and staying cautious.

While some describe the outreach as a legitimate charity fundraiser for art union tickets, others flag it as a scam or aggressive telemarketing. As of late January 2023, this pest caller is still active, I would advise others to block this number and beware.
No message left when I didnt answer. Added to block list now.
Since the missed call left no voicemail, I chose to block the number to prevent future rings.
They didnt leave a messge when i didnt answer, so i blocked them now.
So over these anoying calls! Been geting them nonstop since I got a quote for outdoor awnings.
Tried to get them to take me off their list, but they just got all aggro and refused. What kinda charity does that?
Collection agency that takes 80% of donations? That's a scam if I've ever seen one.
The intention behind this call seems to be a possiable scam, targeting people for financial gain
Did you know Rural Fire Association QLD doesnt need to fundraise? They get funding from councels and registration levies.
Rural Fire Service says this number isnt one of theirs. Probably a scam.
Someone is offering tickets for an art union; I have bought tickets from them repeatedly and consider them trustworthy, not scammers.
The purpose of their call is to sell art union tickets, and they are not scammers, as I have made purchases from them before.
They're actualy not scammers - they're just selling art union tickets. I buy them all the time, so it's all good.
I'm happy to help the Royal Fire Brigade, but I'm wary of scams. Unless they're outside Coles or Woolies, I'm not donating over the phone.
Why hang up as soon as I answer? Third call in three days. Spam folder, here it goes.
Although I like helping people, the surge in scam calls makes me wary; unless I see someone in person outside a store like Coles or Woolies, I refuse to give out card or bank details over the phone.
Calls end abruptly right after I answer, happening three days in a row, so I've moved the number to my spam folder and blocked it.
They hang up as soon as I answer, it is the third call in as many day, I move it to my spam and block folder.
So I was on hold with Woollies when RFBAQ called me. I missed the call and Im kinda anoyed. Theres a huge diffrence between 'Rural Fire Brigade Service' and 'Rural Fire Brigade Association QLD'. I did some reasearch - only 4% of the $600m the gov collects actualy goes to the rural fire brigades. QLD is the only state in AU that's not fully funded by the state, which means every brigade is on its own. They're trying to raise funds and the website explains all the drama they're going through. They have to give out 20% of their earnings as prizes, but the rest is for the brigades. They even have hardship grants for fallen volunteers. I work in a factory that makes firefighting gear for AU and NZ, and I can tell you it's expencive to make this stuff. We can't keep up with the demand.
I hope you never need help from the rural fire brigade, but they're underfunded and need donations
Wrong! This is the real deal - just look up RFBAQ and you'll find this number
You're an idiot if you think this is a scam - do some reasearch and you'll find out it's legit
People need to check their facts - charities are exsempt from the no call register, just like educational institutions and goverment bodies. They're allowed to call you, even if you're on the register.
Copied from the RFBAQ website. They say this number is legit and theyre just doin some fundraising. Its all good.
According to the report, the number was wrongly tagged as suspicious; the caller insists the call was legitimate and advises others to verify before labeling it.
If the rural brigade is the only ones availible to help in a fire emergancy, but cant because they are underfunded, thats a serius problem
You are wrong, do some reseach, this is legit, dont be stupid
After receiving two calls from this number with no voicemail, I investigated further and found that it's a known number used by the Rural Fire Brigades Association Qld for fundraising purposes, as confirmed on their website.
I looked up this number and it's actualy RFBAQ, raising funds for QLD's volunteer rural fire brigades. They even talk about it on their website. It's not a scam, but it's anoying that they can still call me even though I'm on the Do Not Call register.
