This caller is fraudulent.
After registering with Lifeblood via www.donateblood.com.au, the call centre follows up and sends a text indicating they’ll call over the next few days. You can reply with STOP or NO CALL to pause contact for a couple of weeks, though they eventually resume calling.
When the Australian Red Cross rings, simply answer and request to be removed from the call list; that solved the issue for me. They may still follow up after a donation, which I find acceptable.
