Imagine fielding a call from +61735213041 and being greeted by a scripted voice claiming to be your bank, a retailer, or a telecom. The pattern across reports shows a classic social engineering scam where the caller pressures you for OTPs, payment authorisation, or personal details. Hang up immediately, never press any numbers, and verify the claim through the official channel’s own website or phone line. Enable your carrier’s call‑blocking features, register on the national do‑not‑call list, and consider a third‑party spam filter. Regularly review your account activity for unauthorised transactions and report suspicious calls to the relevant authority.
