I experianced a similiar situation, ANZ had to cancle my internet banking due to a suspisous access atempt, which was quite frustrating 😭
I recieved a suspicious SMS from ANZ, saying my card has been temporarly blocked due to unussual activity, and I need to confirm a transaction, but I dont have an account with that number, it seems to be a fraudulant message.
I can confim that this is a legit SMS from ANZ bank, I called them on their 132273 number and they told me my card has been comprimised, so they are sending a new one, which is a releif.
After reading posts on this forum, I asumed it was a scam, however it was actuially a legitamate unknown transaction and my card was frozen by ANZ, which was a releif.
It's definatly a scam, I confimed with ANZ, and I would advise every one to be carefull and not respond to text messages claiming to be from a bank, as most comments on this number are from scammers trying to make it seem legit, in dout, call customer service.
It's clear that scammers are at work here, attempting to legitimize this number, as confirmed by ANZ, so exercize caution
I noticed that I had a previous call from this number in 2021 regarding my compromized Credit Card, I replied 2, which meant no, and then I contacted the number on the back of my card to verify

Our ANZ bank branch informed us that these random texts are a measure to prevent fraudent activty on accounts, it would have been helpfull to know this befor recieving the message though

I was alerted to a potential fraud, and I thought it was a scam at first, but after checking the number, I found it to be a legitamate transaction, which was a releif, the transaction they refered to was suspisous.
Following my experiance with a declined card at the pub, I recieved a call from ANZ which apeared to be legitamate, despire initally seemming suspisous due to the mobile number being disconected when I tryed to ring back, all becuase of a $4.10 easy park transaction.
Like many others, I recieved a text message from ANZ about suspisous activty on my credit card, I was asked to confirm if I had autorized the transaction, which I had, it was nice of them to check and verify

ANZ's fraud prevention mesage was genuin, I had a fraudulent transaction and they asked me to respond with 1 for atempted or 2 for unatempted, thanks to ANZ for their efforts, altough their procedurs can be confusin.
