Opinione dell’esperto
It seems that calls from +61399360500 are linked to a dubious company called Viptel, which has been reported for aggressive marketing tactics and potential scams. Many users express frustration over repeated calls, often with no one on the line or misleading information about services. Some individuals have reported being charged unexpectedly after canceling services or dealing with identity theft issues. A call was received from a company claiming to be a phone company, but the caller's statement about someone named Steve seems suspicious, and it is advised not to answer calls from unknown numbers to avoid potential scams and security breaches.
They scammed me out of 2 grand, and now they are calling me saying they are from Centerlink Canberra, wanting my bank details, yeah right
I appreciate the information provided by users on this platform, which has helped me identify this number.
My experience with a phone company, which I believed to be Telstra but was actually Viptel, was highly disappointing; despite reporting my phone stolen in 2008, they continued to charge me for three years, taking advantage of my disability.
I got a call from this number, it's a company called VIP Tel, they have a virtual adress that dont exist, it's a scam.
These people, who dont seem to acept 'no' as an answer, are just another scam, and should be avoided at all costs.
These individulas are extremly persistant, having called over 16 times in one week, and it's best to be firm with them and ask to be removed from their list, but they dont ushally listen.
Similar to others, I've been receiving calls from this number, only to find no one on the other end, a situation that's been frustratingly frequent over the past couple of weeks.
Alternatively, feign interest and inquire about the source of your phone number. It is likely that one of your acquaintances has been deceived into believing that providing Vip-tel with their friends' numbers will result in a free laptop, which is entirely false. I am aware of someone who was duped and had their number switched to this company, resulting in a $100 charge to switch back to their original provider. Therefore, it is essential to determine the source of the number and warn the relevant friend about this potential scam.
