Ex-Customer Calls from Health Insurer? - +61 3 9862 1412 ((03) 9862 1412)

Γνώμη ειδικού
Silent hang-ups dominate reports of this number, turning what should be straightforward outreach into frustrating dead air. Most describe Medibank Private desperately calling ex-customers who've jumped ship for better deals elsewhere, like HCF or NIB, often right after switching health funds. Complaints highlight poor coverage, skyrocketing premiums, and unhelpful retention tactics that feel more like harassment than service. If you answer and get silence, just hang up and block—it's likely them probing without committing. For ongoing issues like unauthorized payments, contact your insurer directly via official channels, not unsolicited calls. Document everything to protect your rights and avoid engaging, as these efforts rarely yield real value.

Switched from Medibank Private to HCF a fortnight ago. Based on this thread, I believe calls from this number are from a customer retention team. No one speaks when I answer, just silence before hanging up. Extra disappointing since I own considerable shares in this company!
Medibank private called, didnt leave a msg, probably trying to sell somthing
Medibank Private contacted me after I switched health fund providers, offering an expensive alternative that failed to match their competitors' offers, ultimately losing my loyalty.
Believed to be Medibank; changed health cover due to payment issues with non-preferred providers.
Medibank Private called, but they didnt say anything, they just hung up, it's like they're trying to pretend to be somone else
I answered a call from this number, only to have them hang up; if this is indeed Medibank Private, it seems like an attempt to falsify call records, prompting my switch to HCF after over 20 years.
This number is from Medibank. They call to retain customers but charge high premiums for insurance that doesn’t provide adequate benefits. Despite paying over $1,000 annually for extras, they only cover $200 each per year for glasses for me and my daughter. They partner with Specsavers, who charge extra for lens coatings and other services, leaving me out of pocket. I switched to NIB for better coverage.
Upon answering, the caller hung up immediately.
Upon answering, I heard a woman say "Hello," followed by silence.
After reviewing comments, I've decided to block this number, categorizing them as time wasters due to their persistent calls.
It is believed that Medibank is associated with this number, as they have been attempting to contact despite a switch to a different healthcare provider, consistently hanging up when answered and leaving no message
Answered the call with 'hello,' but there was no response before the line went dead.
Thanks to this website, I was aware that Medibank was calling, so I didn't answer, having recently switched to HCF due to their increasing fees.
Repeated calls from this number have been a nuisance, and when I finally answered, the caller hung up without a word, only to be greeted by Medibank's IVR when I called back, leaving a poor impression of their service.
This number might belong to Medibank Private, according to a reverse phone lookup. They called both my landline and mobile but left no messages. I’ve switched to a better health insurance provider and no longer wish to engage with them.
I will stick with Medibank if they agree to backdate the offer for ten years, thats my desicion
They tried to retain me as a customer after I left, acting smug and insisting on the last word about my reasons for leaving.
Medibank's attempts to retain me as a client have come too late, as I have already parted ways with them.
This number is associated with Medibank Private.
