Never share personal details until you confirm the caller's identity. Silent rings or calls that hang up are typical of spoofed caller ID attacks targeting credit‑card holders. Always hang up, locate the official number on the back of your card or the provider’s website, and call back directly. Use your phone’s block feature or a third‑party call‑filtering app to stop repeat nuisance calls. Report persistent harassment to your carrier and to the relevant consumer‑protection agency, providing timestamps and call logs. Keep a record of any messages, even if brief, as evidence for fraud investigations.
