Someone knew my name and claimed they could give me a discount because I’d been an Optus customer for over four years. When they asked for my postcode, I declined. I suggested they call me later, but they insisted on calling me instead. I ended up contacting Optus directly and told them I would hang up. The whole interaction felt suspicious, possibly a scam.
The caller claimed to be from Optus and addressed me by name, offering a discount due to my long-standing customer status; they requested my postcode, but I declined and offered to call them back, after which they terminated the call, raising suspicions of a scam.

Considering the flood of reports labeling this line as a scam, I think the report might actually be from the scammer themselves, lol.
