After a typical pause once answered, the call felt like a scam, but it disconnected before any details were shared.

Fraudsters.

The caller claimed I received overseas payments this morning from someone named Peter Baxter, allegedly for Netflix and Amazon, totaling several thousand dollars.

A person claimed to be from the fraud squad, saying money had been taken from my account. I told them I’d just been to the bank and would check later, then hung up. After calling the bank, they confirmed no issues and treated it as an attempted fraud.

An unknown automated call that sounded like a scam; blocked it immediately!

Someone pretended to be from Mastercard and Visa, two separate companies, and I told them “No, you’re not!” before they hung up.

I received two missed calls, spaced three hours apart, and neither left a voicemail. Smartcall flagged it as potential fraud, so I blocked the number. Another call came from a similar number ending in 04.

That was clearly a scam call. I stay silent because the numbers all look alike. As soon as they say “hello,” I end the call—no interest in their scams.

Received a call from this number and five other numbers in a single day, all appearing to be scams.

Yet another scam, folks.

The caller spun a tale about a fake transaction and attempted to extract my IP address.

Someone posing as a CommBank employee reported an unauthorized transaction, asked some valid questions, then cut the call when I asked why they were calling from Sydney despite claiming a Melbourne branch.

Someone claimed to be from CommBank, told me about a $500 transaction and asked for my details, then hung up when I said I'd visit my bank.

They claimed to represent Visa Mastercard, mentioned overseas transactions this morning, tried to verify my identity, but their details didn’t match; I thanked them and said I’d contact my bank, which later confirmed it was a scam.

A person identified themselves as “NBN.” After a pause I replied, “How would you like to scam me today?” She insisted it wasn’t a scam and said she was from NBN offering help with slow internet. I had a similar call the day before from a nearly identical number ending in 4804.
