These calls have grown so persistent and frequent that I simply ignore the number now.
On 25/11/2022, my mobile received a call appearing to originate from Westpac Sydney; it rang to voicemail with no message left, and later showed as Optus backed. Recommendation: do not answer.
The claim that this number belongs to Westpac is false, as I've never provided my landline number to them, and when I contacted Westpac directly, they confirmed it doesn't belong to them and they only have my mobile number on file.
A voicemail mentioned only the first name Christian before abruptly ending, giving no useful information.
After a call purporting to be from Westpac left me disappointed by their customer service, I feel they disregard clients openly, which is infuriating. I'm now seriously weighing a bank switch because of this contemptuous attitude.
