My partner is being inundated with calls—about a dozen in as many minutes across several days. Even if it’s Uber, this level of contact feels like harassment.

Ekspertvurdering
Users report persistent calls from this number, often tied to Uber-related complaints about drivers or orders. Some confirm it's legitimate support reaching out to resolve issues, even leaving voicemails or linking back to the app. Others suspect scams, especially if no recent Uber activity, noting the aggressive pattern like multiple rings in minutes. Harassment claims arise from repeated attempts over days. Block the number if unsolicited and verify any Uber contact through the official app to avoid fakes. Legit companies like Uber use such calls for escalations, but scammers mimic them—always double-check. Report excessive calls to your carrier or authorities for peace.

A call from Uber Eats followed up on a complaint I filed; it was an automated robot, confirmed in the app as genuine.
Seems like a scam; I never use Uber and only would have my number via UberEats if Woolworths shared it. I made no complaint and blocked the number.
Uber support called about a legitimate issue; they tend to respond quickly to avoid complaints to ASIC or ACCC. Depending on the problem, regulatory bodies may intervene if it isn’t resolved.
An Uber Escalation Team rep rang to follow up on a ticket I filed, sounded fishy, man.
An Uber support agent reached out, saying they’d contact me about a driver complaint (my own). I also requested a callback via the Uber app; they left a voicemail confirming it was definitely Uber support.
I received three calls within two minutes, each time the line was disconnected shortly after connecting, suggesting a possible scam.
