Called my 11-year-old daughter’s number, I answered as she wasn’t in, and the man asked for me by name. Told him he had the wrong number. Thing is, I’ve never given my daughter’s number to anyone. She’s only had it for a month. I called the number back to see what they wanted. It was an answering machine about the times. Must be some kind of scam.

A rather posh indivijual called me, inquiring if I was a reader of the Times, and upon my response that I didnt read any papers, they bid me a resigned goodbye
On 17th May, my aunt received two calls from Aditus, supposedly on behalf of the Times newspaper, which is quite perplexing, especially considering her age of 84. I subsequently called them back and requested that her number be removed from their list. Despite being registered with the TPS and having a block on such numbers, they still managed to get through, highlighting the need for more effective measures to prevent this. It's high time something was done to address this issue.
Asked for me by name (and knew my wife's name). When I asked who was calling, he said he was from the Times/Sunday Times. When asked why the Times was calling us, he replied that my wife is on their database of Times readers. When informed that no-one in the house reads the Times, he apologised and said that there was presumably a mix up on their database. A polite chap but obviously a scam.
This number belongs to LBM in Manchester, who work on behalf of O2. They can be quite bothersome. I know this because I used to work for LBM.
