Γνώμη ειδικού
Beware of calls from this number as they often masquerade as insurance firms. The pattern in reports shows the caller pretending to be Direct Line or Churchill, asking for house numbers, postcodes and car‑insurance details before the conversation ends. Never hand over personal details until you have independently verified the source by dialing the official company number or checking your policy documents. If the caller hangs up or offers no reference, treat it as a scam and block the number straight away. Report the incident to the relevant fraud‑prevention service and consider registering the number with a call‑blocking app. Staying cautious protects your data and saves you future hassle.

On 10 August 2016, at 19:30, a call came through on my wife's mobile, even though I'm the one who pays the car insurance and it's set to auto-renew. The caller didn't clarify how they obtained my wife's number and began asking for my house number. Since I didn't initiate the call, it would have been more appropriate for her to provide reassuring information before I confirmed anything. Therefore, I hung up.
Receiving a call from Direct Line was surprising, especially given my ongoing, unresolved structural claim, and I would advise caution when considering their insurance services due to poor customer service and repair experiences.
