It was certainly Santander. Suspicious of the text received, I contacted them via the app. They verified fraudulent eBay purchases attempted via Apple Pay using my card, which I never use there. Thankfully, the card was halted, funds are being returned, and a replacement is on its way.
Prior to calling, Santander usually sends a text message to inform me, and this number is associated with their calls
A text message arrived with the typical 'press this button to respond yes or no' nonsense. I recognised it as a scam immediately. I checked my bank and all was fine, no withdrawals or pending transactions. I will continue to monitor, and if any money is missing, I will contact Santander to block my card!

This number, 08082802784, has been calling me at all hours, including as late as 10pm, if it was urgent, they would have left a message on my mobile or landline, one day I recieved five calls on my mobile and four on my landline, it's rediculous
