I received a text that looked like it came from Santander asking me to confirm a recent transaction. It even quoted this number and seemed legit, but it was a trap, mate.

It turned out to be a fraud; a recorded voice said they were Santander, asked for ID and then gave a bizarre multiple‑choice question about my birth year. I hung up, and the number kept redialing hours later. Definitely a scam.
