Multiple calls kept coming in all day, very persistent. I’m not answering; it’s worrying because it’s on my child’s number, not mine.

Just a bunch of clowns 🤡
Verified with Vodafone: this number isn’t linked to them. Anyone claiming it’s a Vodafone collections line is trying to defraud you – don’t call.
A missed call came from this number, but no voicemail was left.
The number 08080045203 appeared in a spam email about a non‑existent account I never had. Do not reply.
Bad experience and caution advised
Scam confirmed unfortunately
Beware – before they call you, Vodafone will text saying “You will receive a call”.
Claimed to be Vodafone on a Sunday with 'important' info, but I’d rather get an email or letter – not happy, so I hung up on the bot.
An automated bot called on Sunday, so I hung up as it was an unsolicited cold call with supposed 'important' info.
Good experience
Not a Vodafone number – I got a text, checked with Vodafone via chat and they confirmed it isn’t theirs. Please ignore it!
Rumours suggest Vodafone customers are cancelling because of unexpected overcharges, with talk of the company collapsing and a possible EE takeover.
The call turned out to be from Prudential; I called back after they rang me twice.
The text you get before the call is indeed from Vodafone, confirming it’s them. I missed a payment, my line was restricted, so they called – not a scam, it’s legitimate.
Definitely Vodafone – it’s their collections team, usually they text first to say they’ll call soon. Safe to answer.
Debit card info requested by scammer
Unfavorable experience reported
After waking to two missed calls from this number, I dismissed it as a scam, only to receive another call and then three more. I have no clue who they are or what they want, but I’ll block them if they call again.
Anyone aware if this is genuine? I received three calls today, left a voicemail, then an automated greeting said “hello, welcome to Vodafone”. I was told to dial 40444, which claimed I owe £30 – but I just paid my bill and know I don’t owe anything. The texts come from a Vodafone number I’ve previously used.
Scammer on the line – block them and tell them to go away if you get an email.
User advises caution
Probably Vodafone.
I received an email purportedly from Vodafone threatening to disconnect my mobile if I don’t pay, yet there’s no record on my account. The email contains odd punctuation and unusual phrasing, raising suspicion.
Someone keeps ringing this number repeatedly, up to three times a day. I finally blocked it as the calls turned into harassment.
