The caller claimed to be from Sky Broadband, but it was a nuisance call

Opinião de especialista
It’s odd how a single UK number keeps showing up as a fake Sky representative. Callers repeatedly claim to be from Sky, offering bogus upgrades or asking for banking details, yet they never verify basic account information. Hang up immediately if the pitch feels rushed, and never share personal info or payment data. Use your phone’s block feature, add the number to a spam‑list app, and report the incident to the communications regulator. If you’re a genuine Sky customer, contact Sky directly through official channels—not the caller—to confirm any offers. Staying skeptical and documenting each call can protect you from future scams.

Sales team from Sky
A lady with an asian accent, claimed to be from Sky TV, but when I asked her to verify my account details, she became evasive and suspisous in everyway.
Marketing nonsense
The centre pretended to represent Sky, saying they had special offers for my account. I told them I wasn't interested and would contact Sky myself for any additions.
A number I don’t know, so I didn’t answer; no message was left, and I’ll block it after reading the earlier comments.
Should this have been a Sky call, the unprofessional behaviour was shocking; after missing the ring I was redirected to voicemail while the agent chatted in what sounded like an Asian language, laughing with a colleague. I’ve blocked the number and advise never to trust unsolicited calls without confirming the caller’s identity first.
Please stop the calls – I’ve blocked the number already!
A caller with a foreign accent claimed to be from Sky, asking why I didn’t have a mobile contract with them and which provider I used. I explained I was at work and satisfied with my current deal; he didn’t press further and hung up. I despise cold calls that launch straight into a script without checking if it’s a good time.
A brief pause was followed by a woman asking for my broadband provider, cost, and whether I wanted a deal that included free Netflix. I declined and ended the call; it was an unsolicited approach but not overly aggressive.
An unfamiliar call rang, and I hung up as soon as I answered; now it’s blocked.
Multiple calls came from this number; when I finally answered, an Indian lady claimed to be from Sky and said my package was overpriced – I’d just renewed at a lower rate, so I ended the call.
