After informing them that I was on the TPS and that they shouldnt be calling me, they insisted it was a pre-arranged call back, and became very agressive when I disagreed, making all sorts of threats - I remained calm and polite, but they continued to escalate the situation
This is a scam. Avoid any communication with them. They pose a danger.
After questioning the caller, they admitted it was a sales call. I asked to be removed from their list, but they refused. I believed it was legally required, so I'm frustrated the government hasn't addressed these scammers.
A man ring me and said he wanted to help me with electricity and gas costs, i told him i'd like to talk about somthing else instead, then i asked him if he'd ever considdered letting Jesus into his life, and started singing a hymn which put him off his stride for a bit, but he still ring back
Scam call. Continuously ringing back and wasting time. Extremely rude!!
As the owner of a small business, I have been receiving frequent calls from this number over the past month, with the caller claiming to be my energy supplier and attempting to refund money into my account, while also requesting sensitive information such as bank details and my home address. This morning's call was particularly concerning, as the individual, who introduced himself as 'Eaten', became aggressive when I informed him that I had verified the call with Opus and they were unaware of any such communication. I have reported this issue to BT, but they seem unable to assist me without requiring me to purchase additional services.
They identified themselves as Direct Energy. Their approach was very aggressive, and they clearly seemed like scammers. When I asked for clarification on their company name and the country they were calling from, they were evasive. Eventually, they admitted the call was from Pakistan.
A caller claiming to be from the National Grid, but with a Pakistani accent, attempted to scam me by asking about my energy supplier; I pretended not to speak English and ended the call, later verifying the number's suspicious nature online.
A call to my business line resulted in an abrupt and rude exchange, with the caller returning my hostility; although the situation was unpleasant, it was also somewhat amusing.
This number has been a constant nusiance, ringing my business line up to 10 times daily and distrupting important work. They claim we're owed £170 from Opus, which isn't true as we've never dealt with them. When I declined to engage, the caller became aggressive, swore at me, and slammed the phone down. Under no circumstances should you share personal information with this number.
Engaging with scammers like this can be entertaining, as it allows one to gauge their tactics.
This number has called me 5 times, but there's never an answer, it's very frustrating and a complete waste of time
Excessive calls, over ten a day, have been received from this number, with an Indian man being very rude and claiming to be from the electric company, which is clearly untrue.
I spoke to a very rude lady with a foreign accent, she wouldnt take no for an answer, and actualy rang me back three times, which made me get a bit rude too.
Tonight I recieved a call from a rude man with an Indian accent, he was trying to scam me with an energy utilities scam
Despite my requests to stop calling, The Energy Council continues to ring me, and I suspect it's a scam due to their lack of knowledge about the energy market.
The lady on the phone was extremely rude, and if they call again, I will have no hesitation in expressing my frustration, bluntly, and posible with some strong language
This is a scam, dont give them any informations, they just want to scam you.
