I was waiting for a call from Santander and the one I got matches exactly – it’s genuinely from Santander, nothing to worry about.
Someone rang from this line claiming to be from Santander, demanding security details for an account with a zero balance. They later sent a text to the approved Santander number used for two‑factor authentication. Since banks normally write, not call, this appears to be a fraud attempt or a process failure.

A call arrived from this line requesting Mr C. I pointed out there are two Mr C’s and asked which one they needed, but they could not provide a first name. I expected the bank to have that detail, so I ended the call.

I can confirm that this call was from Santander, and I was expecting it.
The caller claimed to be from Santander to discuss my Stocks and Shares ISA. They incorrectly said all my money was in cash and it was up to me to invest. I didn't believe them and hung up. cash
