Ekspertvurdering
Take heed: calls from +44 800 389 0755 are widely reported as originating from Santander, yet the line is also frequently spoofed for fraudulent schemes. Before divulging any personal or banking details, confirm the caller’s identity by hanging up and dialing the official number printed on your card or found on Santander’s website. Beware of unsolicited security questions and pressure tactics – legitimate banks rarely request sensitive data via unexpected calls. Keep a record of the call timestamp and consider reporting suspicious activity to your bank’s fraud team and to the relevant consumer protection authority. Verify the number, question unexpected requests, and report any abuse promptly.

I received a call regarding my account. Initially, I was skeptical, but it turned out to be legitimate. A more effective approach would have been to email or text me with a brief message prompting me to contact the number listed in my account. These days, scammers are quite clever, and asking for personal information over the phone feels risky. A simpler method would be: 'Sir/Madam, we need to discuss something with you. Please reach out to us using the customer service number on your card/account. Thank you.'
