A Scottish-accented individual asserted they were from the RBS branch network in Inverness

This number called, addressing me incorrectly, and attempted to elicit my second name under the guise of an annual bank review

The call from Scotland kept dropping, leading me to block the number.

Rang from 0800 260 6491, saying there from RBS, but i dont beleive it, i hung up halfway

Despite being an 0800 number, the call was cut off immediately, indicating a scammer at work.

This number is a RBS scam, the person on the phone had a plausible Scottish accent and asked to review my accounts.

A scam call was made to my elderly relative's landline, attempting to deceive her into divulging sensitive banking information by claiming fraudulent activity had occurred with her cheques, but fortunately, she remained vigilant and provided no information, giving them short shrift instead.

After calling back from a blocked ID, I received an automated message from 'RBS direct banking', requesting either my customer or debit card number. A legitimate bank would never use an automated system to ask for such sensitive information. I hung up and blocked the number.

They rang claiming to be conducting a health check for RBS. I verified with my bank, and this number isn't theirs. It's a blatant scam. Thieving scum.
