This number is about the DWP Work Capability Assessment.
A caller rang on 5 Sept 2025 claiming to discuss a DWP PIP assessment scheduled for the following week. When I asked for confirmation of the assessment’s time and date, they refused to continue. I explained I receive many scam calls and needed identity verification, but they showed no interest and abruptly ended the call, insisting they’d initiated it because I wouldn’t hand over personal details. Completely unprofessional and possibly indicative of fraudsters or an indifferent DWP with little regard for residents’ privacy.
The caller, a male voice, asked to speak to ?Brittany Hassan. When I told him the person wasn't here, he apologised for the misdial. He never identified himself, and I can't see why DWP would still have my old home number, which changed years ago after a phone and broadband upgrade. Perhaps the number was previously assigned to someone else and DWP hasn't updated their records, breaching data protection, or a key was simply pressed incorrectly. Either way, my poached egg was overcooked by the time I got back to the kitchen – minutes matter!
