Expertenmeinung
Beware of unsolicited calls claiming to be your bank – they often aim to harvest personal data. Even if the caller mentions Lloyds, Halifax or the Bank of Scotland, legitimate institutions will never ask for full passwords, PINs or DOB over the phone without a prior, verified appointment. Always verify the caller by hanging up and dialing the official number from your statement or the bank’s website. Keep a record of the call time and any numbers displayed, and report suspicious attempts to the FCA’s fraud line or your bank’s security team. Using these steps helps keep your information legitimate and secure.

Everything is fine. This was Halifax contacting me to confirm some details related to a loan application.
The IT staff from Lloyds called regarding my IT issue. It seems to be legitimate.
This is from Lloyds.
Scam call from Scottish Widow
After answering twice, it became clear that the call was a scam, with a female voice repeatedly saying 'hello' in an attempt to initiate contact, prompting me to block the caller
Certainly, this is Lloyds private banking...
Helpful service from Lloyd's
Following a failed call to a different number, this number claimed to be Lloyds Bank, but it was clearly a deception.
I don't recognize this number, and I received two calls within a short period, neither of which I answered. No message was left, and I'm not associated with any of the banks mentioned in other comments.
Genuine Halifax call, fraud check confirmed
Daily calls, no one speaks, then hangs up
Received a call from this number, but the caller ended it as soon as I picked up. I contacted both Halifax and Scottish Widows, who confirmed no calls were made to me today.
Further investigation revealed that this number is used by the Halifax, and potentially other Lloyds Banking group businesses, for outbound calls; however, it's essential to exercise caution as scammers can spoof this number.
This number rang me just two minutes after I finished speaking with Lloyds Bank Mortgage Group. I didn’t answer as it wasn’t the same number I used. No voicemail was left. They can call again and leave a message if they need me.
Anticipating a call from Halifax Complaints, I assumed it was them since they’re part of the same group. However, the call disconnected instantly. Probably a tactic to claim they attempted to resolve my complaint but couldn’t reach me. Typical behaviour from these individuals.
This is the complaints hotline for Halifax Insurance, which is reliable. 👍
genuine banking call
No one on the line
Having contacted Halifax regarding this number, they confirmed that it was indeed them, and although their sales pitch was unintersting, at least it wasn't about double glazing or insulation, which was a nice suprise
Lloyds/Halifax complaints line.
Halifax bank call
Following a complaint I made, Halifax Bank contacted me directly, confirming the call was legitimate.
I can confirm that this is a legitimate Lloyds/Bank of Scotland number, as I discussed a complaint I had lodged with their representative.
Pension services from Scottish Widows
Claimed to be from Halifax regarding the cost of living and asked about mortgage funds.
A call just came through, allegedly from Halifax. The caller mentioned he was 'reaching out to me', which immediately raised my suspicions. His speech was quite unclear, but he claimed to be checking if I required any financial assistance due to the rising cost of living. It was rather peculiar. I ended the call.
Hope my complaint from years ago has finaly been resolvd, about time
Lloyds bank requested callback
The caller claimed to be from Lloyds Bank, but I've chosen to verify their identity by contacting them through a known number
