It seemed highly dubious—they knew I was a premier customer and the voicemail said they'd call back later, assuring nothing to worry about.
At 5:05 pm an Indian‑accented man claimed to be from Lloyds Bank. Given the mixed reports on this number and the typical bank policy of never calling, plus the strange drum‑like audio quality, it was clearly a foreign scam call. I told him to find a day job and hung up.

Since I am not Mr Pete and do not bank with Lloyds, it was clear this was a scam. Despite knowing this, they persisted, calling five or six times before I finally answered and informed them of their mistake, at which point they immediately hung up

I can assure you this number is legitimate, it's from the Bank of Scotland's customer complaints department, who were following up on an issue I had with my account
