While waiting for important medical calls, I received unwanted calls from this number. I wish Virgin would stop these nuisance calls, as they have already generated sufficient revenue.

Ever wondered why that +44 800 number keeps ringing your phone? The pattern in these reports points to a spoofed Virgin Media sales line that’s using a toll‑free prefix to sound official. Callers typically push upgrades, ask for personal details, and switch to aggressive scripts when you push back. Never share account numbers, addresses, or banking info with an unsolicited caller, even if they claim to know your name. Use your phone’s built‑in block feature, report the number to your carrier, and consider a third‑party call‑blocking app. If you’re an existing Virgin Media customer, verify any offers directly through the official website or app before taking action.

Didn't answer, but saw negative reviews already.
I suspect numbers like 08000528675 and 08000529406; I’m wary of phone calls these days.
Have blocked this number as it's making unwanted cold calls, and I'm not a Virgin customer
This week, I've received two calls from this number, with a female claiming to represent Virgin Media, asking to discuss my husband's contract, which raises several red flags.
I cant answer this call because it's from Virgin Media and they keep calling during my working hours, they should call me after work
The caller claimed to be from Virgin, but her questions made me doubt it. After I expressed disinterest and hung up, I received repeated calls on both my mobile and landline. I am with Virgin and recently renewed my contract.
This is Virgin Media, not a scam. Politeness costs nothing—just say no if you're not interested. I got a great deal from their Philippines call centre.
No response
0800 052 9406 Virgin Media supposedly asked for me by name and then talked about upgrading my account. I mentioned I'm already on a great deal. They tried to add amazon prime to my account, but I told them I already have it. They didn't bother checking any details. As a former BT customer, I know they should verify if I'm the account holder before discussing anything. Credit to them, they kept offering deals for £2 per month!
fraud
The proliferation of phone deal scams has led to a distrust of cold calls, highlighting the importance of reporting suspicious activity to the relevant authorities
An unexpected call arrived on my mobile, purporting to be from VirginMedia. They seemed to know my name, which gave it an air of credibility, but then requested the first line of my address. Regrettably, I provided it, and he confirmed it was correct - a foolish mistake on my part! In hindsight, I should have asked him for that information instead. The caller had a strong Indian accent, suggesting it was a call centre trying to sell services or deals. I was pressed for time, so I told him to ring back in a few days. It’s worth mentioning that I’ve had to interact with VirginMedia regarding broadband issues, and they frequently employ Indian call centres where the English isn’t great, but I suppose it’s cost-effective for “customer service,” hence it’s not surprising.
Daily calls have been received from this number since the start of December, now on the 17th.
The caller, claiming to be from Virgin Media, was actually a scammer from India who struggled to pronounce my name and failed to provide my account details when challenged
Despite telling them I'm not interesed in their upselling, as I've already renewed my Virgin contract, they continuelly call every other day, refussing to accept my declination
I've previously reported this Virgin Media scam, but unfortunately, I received no assistance in stopping it.
Numerous calls have been made from this number, which I have blocked and reported, as it appears to be a scam with a foreign individual claiming to represent Virgin Media, despite Virgin Media's policy of not contacting customers in this manner.
Despite regular calls, no messages were left, and the caller was ignored.
A few days ago, my mobile was called. Due to the lady’s accent and background noise, I couldn’t quite catch everything, but it seemed she wanted to talk about Virgin offering us a better deal. I was preoccupied with other matters and requested her to call back 'tomorrow'. Since then, I haven't heard from this number again. I doubt it was a scam, but one can never be sure nowadays.
Receiving scam calls daily for the past five days. They are calling from India while pretending to be Virgin Media.
Repeated attempts to contact me by name from Virgin media around 1600hrs, but I terminate the call before they proceed
For the past six days, I've had to block this number, yet it still continues to ring after I said no more.

Although this number belongs to Virgin Media, it is specifically the marketing or sales team, and their calling frequency is excessively harassing
Upon answering, I was met with silence, prompting me to label it as another scam call before ending the conversation.
Received two calls today and many before that. I told them to go away and blocked the number.
A foreign woman contacted me from this number, claiming to be with Virgin Media. This number is not associated with them, and Virgin Media does not call their customers. Clearly a scam.
The caller claimed to be from Virgin and asked for account verification details. It's clearly a scam since Virgin already has our information
A foreign male caller attempted to scam me by offering a deal from Virgin Media, asking for personal details to confirm my account, but I refused and called him out as a scammer
