I received a text message claiming to be my motor insurer, stating my vehicle was involved in an accident on 06-Jun-22. It asked me to call urgently, but I didn't contact them after googling.

Γνώμη ειδικού
It seems that +448000329630 is a number being used in a sophisticated scam, often masquerading as LV Insurance. The scammers send texts or letters claiming your vehicle has been involved in an accident, even when you haven’t been in one. They use authentic-looking materials, including logos and references, to appear legitimate. However, LV Insurance has confirmed that these are scams and advises against calling the number. If you receive such a message, it’s best to verify directly with LV using their official contact details. Do not provide any personal information or engage with the scammers. Stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to your insurer and the relevant authorities.

An email that looked official was followed by a letter purporting to be from LV Insurance. The letter claimed my vehicle [sold 7 months ago] was involved in an accident. I checked the LV site and found no reference to it. The number displayed was 0800 032 9630 which I’ve noted is a scam here. Naturally, I have not called the number, so I’m unsure how to classify it.
A letter, appearing very genuine, mentioned 0800 032 9630 regarding a car accident involving my late father. Since he passed away the same year, I didn’t respond, suspecting it was a scam. It’s unfortunate how convincing these fraudsters can be.
I recived a letter, apparently from Liverpool Victoria, stating my vehical had been involved in an accident, which promted me to call an 0800 number - initally, I was concernd, but upon further inspection, some of the questions seemed suspisous, so I decided to investigate the number online
During our time abroad, our UK residence was broken into. Our home and motor insurance are with LV. I instructed a neighbour to report the burglary, providing the policy number. He mistakenly used the motor policy but clarified during the conversation with LV that it was a break-in. Within a day, I got a text from L+ (not LV or LV=) that didn’t address me by name, claiming to be my motor insurer and stating my vehicle was in an accident on the burglary date, potentially affecting my NCD and renewal premium, urging me to contact 0800 032 9630. The text included a claims reference resembling LV’s format but not the one given to my neighbour. I suspected it was a scam and ignored it, but I’m puzzled about how the scammers obtained my details so swiftly.
According to various reports, this number is associated with LV insurance
Receiving a text and letter about a supposed crash on 1st April was confusing, especally since the area and car was unknown, I contacted LV as my insurer and they requied photo's of my car to prove it wasn't me!

I recieved a text from LV (Liverpool Victoria) claiming I was in a crash, which wasn't true. Two weeks later, another text arrived with a different number to contact. Seems very dodgy.
Claimed to be from LV= motor insurance
Claiming that I have insurance with them, which is not the case.
I received a sophisticated email, replete with LV logos, from motorclaims@lv, falsely claiming my vehicle had been involved in an incident and providing 0800 032 9630 as a contact number for enquiries, which I recognised as a potential scam.
I recieved a text from a company claiming to be LV, but it was a scam, they said I was invovled in an accident, but I knew it was fake because I had not been in one, so I rang LV and they confirmed it was a scam
This arrived as a text.
Received a scam text from this number. Deleted it immediately.
I ignored the call since it was from a withheld number. They then sent a text pretending to be LV, who I actually have insurance with!
didnt answerd
The text message received from this number was entirely fabricated, clearly indicating a phishing scam, and thus I advise against engaging with such blatant attempts at deception.
LV car insurance contacted me regarding a supposed accident, but upon investigation, I discovered this to be an error, as I have an alibi for the alleged incident.
