I phoned NatWest to verify whether this was a fraud call, and they confirmed it was a genuine call about a potentially fraudulent payment, mate.
Going through the remarks attached to this number convinced me it was a scam. After three landline calls and two on my mobile, I dialled the number printed on the back of my NatWest debit card and discovered it was actually NatWest trying to reach me. Someone had attempted to charge £80 at 2 am on a Sunday, but NatWest flagged the unusual timing. I rely heavily on WhoCalledMe and find it extremely useful.
I didn’t pick up, but a quick check with the bank confirmed it was a definite scam linked to my account.
