The call appeared legitimate as it mentioned fraud detection. I contacted RBS separately and found my account was blocked. However, the approach mimics scam tactics, making it seem risky. It's concerning the bank uses such methods. It's advisable to contact the bank directly using a trusted number.
I had to check with my bank and they told me this number is not asociated with RBS, I got 5 calls from them today and it needs to be looked into

This number sent me a text claiming to be RBS, stating unusual activity on my card. I called back, and when the automated system asked me to confirm transactions, the line went dead. I contacted RBS from my landline, and they checked my account; there were no notes about any telephone enquiries. Clearly, these individuals have manipulated their phone to appear as a genuine RBS number.
