A NatWest representative named Chris called me; the call began as an automated message before a live operator discussed details of my account and followed up on a previous conversation I’d had with the bank, without requesting any personal information.
Someone said they were from NatWest to assist with money management and a credit‑card payment. The call asked me to press 1 to verify my identity. I then talked to a woman who referenced a previous conversation about my account, making it sound genuine.
This isn’t an RBS scam!
A voicemail from a woman claiming to represent the Royal Bank of Scotland mentioned my son's name, even though he hasn't lived here long. Clearly a scam!
A caller pretending to be NatWest quoted my daughter’s full name, even though she hasn’t lived here for two decades.

Frequent calls get our son’s name wrong while posing as the Bank of Scotland; he gave his correct number to the bank years ago!
I received two calls today and let them go to voicemail. Research via ChatGPT showed that 0800 001 5805 has been reported by several users as a possible scam, with callers pretending to be from NatWest or RBS to obtain personal data. Neither bank lists this as an official contact number.
The call turned out to be from NatWest’s credit‑card team; it began with an automated greeting. I hung up, redialed the number on the back of my card and they confirmed the call was legitimate. Not a scam, but always verify spoofed numbers by calling back.
Never answer an unfamiliar number; if it’s urgent and legitimate, a message will be left. This one demanded “press any key to continue” to stop further calls. A lookup confirmed it’s linked to fraud – block it immediately.
This number has contacted me numerous times claiming to be NatWest bank. I've never held an account with them. SCAM. Blocked.
I recieved two calls today from someone claiming to be from Nar West bank, asking about my ex partner, which seemed a bit strange and possibily a scam

Posing as the Bank of Scotland, they tried to verify my account by making me pick the right DOB from three choices. After two wrong picks they pushed for a chat with a “representative”. Obviously a con – I don’t even have an account there, cheers.

This number 0800 0015805 keep calling me twise a day, and leaving automated messages, i wish i could block it
SCAM ALERT! DO NOT TRUST THIS NUMBER! IGNORE ANY CLAIMS THAT THIS IS GENUINE OR LINKED TO RBS - IT IS NOT. Initially, you receive a text from a blank, spoofed number (appearing as NatwestCard) stating, “We may attempt to contact you over the next few days through our automated service. NatWest.” Then, you get multiple calls at random times from the number 0800 001 5805. When answered, an automated voice asks for your date of birth and other details. It sounded legitimate at first, so I answered the first question, but soon realised it was a scam. Why would my bank ask for this information? I contacted NatWest, and they confirmed it was definitely a scam
