I missed a call from this number, but I think it was from EE, as I had been in contact with them about technical support, and I recived an email from them just after the call, all seems legit

At 8:22am I recieved a call from this number, I had phoned BT customer support yesterday regarding my account, 2 minutes later I had an email from BT confirming they had resolved the issue, therefore I think this is a genuin EE/BT mobile number but be carefull
A rather unpleasant individual claimed to be from 'EE Guide' while I was awaiting a refund. He seemed to have access to my account details and was discussing texts I had received. Initially, I believed he was genuine until his curt tone made me uneasy. With a very unprofessional Scottish accent, I still can't determine if he was affiliated with EE, but I have lodged a complaint with them. I expect someone to contact me this week for clarification. At present, my bank accounts are under scrutiny. This number must be reported; why hasn’t it been shut down? I refused to let him process my refund into my bank account, insisting it be done through billing instead.
It's unusual for EE to contact a private mobile number, allowing for call-backs, especially since they were aware of my account details and refund status

We would never ask for security information like a mother's maiden name or the name of a first pet. The caller claimed to be from EE, but the background noise sounded like a live band, and they requested my data without asking for my password, which immediately raised my suspicions and prompted me to hang up and verify with the actual EE company, who confirmed it was a scam
Someone rang claiming i made a purchase on Amazon and asked for money
Subsequent to resolving an issue with EE, I received a call from this number, which I did not answer due to not recognising it, and have since blocked it, as it seemed to be an attempt to persuade me to extend my contract.

Following a suspicious text message purportedly from EE, I received a call from this number claiming to be about a security issue, but my suspicions were aroused and I contacted EE directly to verify the authenticity of the claim.
They requested my information, claiming it was regarding Amazon. I feel quite foolish; it's both dangerous and clever.
The caller requested my details, claiming it was related to Amazon, and I feel foolish for nearly falling for it, but they became suspicious when they asked for my full card details, at which point I realised it was a scam
