A rather unpleasant individual claimed to be from 'EE Guide' while I was awaiting a refund. He seemed to have access to my account details and was discussing texts I had received. Initially, I believed he was genuine until his curt tone made me uneasy. With a very unprofessional Scottish accent, I still can't determine if he was affiliated with EE, but I have lodged a complaint with them. I expect someone to contact me this week for clarification. At present, my bank accounts are under scrutiny. This number must be reported; why hasn’t it been shut down? I refused to let him process my refund into my bank account, insisting it be done through billing instead.
It's unusual for EE to contact a private mobile number, allowing for call-backs, especially since they were aware of my account details and refund status

We would never ask for security information like a mother's maiden name or the name of a first pet. The caller claimed to be from EE, but the background noise sounded like a live band, and they requested my data without asking for my password, which immediately raised my suspicions and prompted me to hang up and verify with the actual EE company, who confirmed it was a scam
Someone rang claiming i made a purchase on Amazon and asked for money
