After providing feedback an hour earlier via text, I phoned NatWest’s helpline; they verified the message was theirs, noted the missing sender details, apologised and unblocked the number.
A message claiming to be from NatWest warned of an upcoming text from a number ending 019 and asked for a “Yes” to continue a mandate change; not being a NatWest customer, I instantly recognised it as a scam.
