A voice said they were from Vodafone with a massive discount – it sounded sketchy, so I hung up, proper scam!

Picture this: your phone rings with a UK number, and the voice on the line claims to be from a big telecom like Sky or Vodafone, promising hefty bill discounts or even free gadgets. These calls, often laced with thick accents and pushy tactics, are classic phishing attempts to snag your login details or personal info. Victims have shared tales of handing over emails and passwords, only to scramble for damage control afterwards. Block the number immediately and never share sensitive data—legit companies won't ask like that. Report to Action Fraud or your provider to help shut these scammers down. Stay vigilant; if it sounds too good, it probably is.

They phoned claiming to be from Sky, I fell for it and shared my email and password. Promised 30% off mobile and broadband for a year, plus a free MacBook Pro hamper out of kindness. But after changing my security and pass straight away, I searched the number—stay vigilant.
Bloke with an Indian accent pretending to be from EE.
Phoned me, uttered 'goodbye' in an AI tone, and terminated the line.
These idiots just rang me, pretending to be from Vodafone with a heavy Indian accent that screams they're not in the UK or just spoofing a local mobile. Second time I've gotten this - always starting with 'Hello, I'm from Vodafone, how are you?'. Asked their purpose, and they said 'I can see your photo, you look like...' - totally unprofessional for a legit cold call, which they're clearly not. Avoid sharing anything with them. Obvious phishing attempt - they didn't even know my full name! In my view, these are risky fraudsters - block if they call. Planning to notify actual Vodafone.
Got another today from someone pretending to be at Vodafone; I repeated that I recognise it as a fraud, he yelled that it isn't and disconnected
Posed as Vodafone offering 40% bill discount, clearly fraudulent.
Thick Indian accent, tough to follow; claimed to be calling from SKY to ask my monthly payment. I told him if you're from SKY, you'd already know what I'm paying; he disconnected then. I blocked the contact on my device
