On Wednesday 6th mar 2024, I contacted my bank using the number on my card, and was advised that a text message I recieved was a phishing scam, so be cautious of comments on this site and verify the authenticity with your bank direcly.
Following a suspicious text message, I contacted HSBC using the number on the back of my debit card and confirmed that it was a genuine fraud alert, resulting in the cancellation of my card
The number is legit. I reached out using the digits on my debit card, and they verified they had been trying to get in touch.
HSBC has verified that this is undoubtedly a scam.
