Opinia expertului
Like a persistent fog rolling in off the Thames, these calls from unknown numbers can cloud your peace of mind without warning. Reports highlight aggressive tactics, from fake debt claims to intrusive questions about vaccinations or insurance, often from call centres with Indian accents posing as Citizens Advice or O2 partners. Never engage with such callers; they're likely scammers harvesting data or pushing fraud. Block the number immediately, report to Action Fraud, and register with the Telephone Preference Service to cut unsolicited calls. If threats arise, log details and contact police—protecting personal info is key to staying safe.

Odd.
They keep calling from various, yet similar, numbers; I've blocked five so far. I never answer unknown callers, but the persistence felt harassing.
A call centre with an Indian accent, apparently a debt‑related scam.
A call centre chattered about COVID vaccines and life insurance.
The caller, an Indian man, claimed I owed debts; when I asked for the creditor, he admitted ignorance – clearly a scam, so I blocked him.
Over the past five days I received multiple calls; I answered one this evening and an Indian woman claimed to be from a financial investigation team about supposed unregulated debts. I have no debts, and the background sounded like a call centre. When I asked for the company's name to check its website, she couldn't provide it, so I hung up and blocked the number. Clearly a scam.
The caller turned aggressive, repeatedly telling me to go away; after I called him out, he kept calling every minute from different mobiles – quite scary.
This appears to be a scam call offering cheap deals under the name Smart Mobile in partnership with O2, falsely claiming my contract had ended; when I pressed for details they hung up.
A bloke sounding Indian, introduced himself as Alex from Citizens Advice, started rattling on about debt management. When I asked him to stop, he shot back “WHY?” and then insisted I owed money, even though I don’t. Proper rude, mate.
They claimed to be from Citizens Advice, alleged I had debt, called daily throughout the week, and became rude when I denied any debt. I ended up blocking the number.
A caller identified themselves as Citizens Advice, but I told them I’ve never contacted CAB and that they wouldn’t randomly call from a mobile. I blocked them after the seventh attempt from different numbers.
An Asian gentleman rang, saying he worked in credit investigations. I told him I wasn’t interested and asked to be removed from their list; he got aggressive, insisting they’d keep calling daily until I complied. Cheers.
A call centre representative from India pretended to be from the Citizens Advice Bureau.
I got back to that number, the bloke already knew my name and asked about my Covid jabs. He then inquired about my life insurance cover and roughly how much I’m paying each month. After that he hung up. I’m blocking it, especially since he never identified himself, cheers.
A male caller, apparently Asian, mentioned my O2 contract was about to expire; I cut him off with a brief statement about time‑wasting and hung up, then added the number to my block list.
Seems like a total scammer, cheers.
Someone pretended to be a debt‑help adviser, and when I asked for details he read out a script like a robot. He couldn’t even name a company I supposedly owed, so I told him to pull my number from their list. Right?
Numbers beginning with 07441 should be avoided – they called me from at least ten different lines sharing that prefix. I blocked each one, yet they keep reaching me from fresh numbers. I never answer and am fed up with the relentless attempts.
Pure scam, mate.
