I received two calls today, both flagged as suspected spam.
A call took a long time to connect, I realised it was a scam, then I disconnected and blocked the number.
After providing my information, the caller pretended to discuss an outstanding debt I don't have, stammered an apology and I terminated the call. Clearly not a UK‑based English speaker – a full‑blown scam.
Two calls came in today, flagged as “Suspected Spam”. I answered the second; an Asian‑sounding voice, oddly aware of my name, claimed the FCA had contacted him about an unsecured debt. He hung up and I blocked the number.
The number appeared out of nowhere.
