Couldnt make out what they were saying due to a thick Indian accent but they didnt ask for me by name, just started talking.
They called me multiple times over a week. When I finally answered, it was about my enquiry with TOM Life Insurance. A friendly representative assisted me. Surprisingly enjoyable conversation about life cover... who would have thought. Glad I answered, as I secured £350k of cover for £11.

The message was in a foreign language I didn't recognise, with annoying background music. Not in English, French, or German.
Initially, they claimed to be following up on a life insurance quote from Polly, which raised concerns about data sharing, and although they seemed legitimate, I eventually ended the call and blocked the number after reading the comments here, especially considering the subsequent suspicious email.
Apparently, these life insurace scammers are relentless, constantly ringing from various numbers, which must be a pretty demoralising job, lol

Receiving a call from this number today was unexpected, and initially, I chose not to answer, but after a second call, I decided to pick up, only to be met with a man asking for someone with a rather unusual name, which led me to inform him that he had the wrong number, and when he questioned whether I had applied for a job, I assured him I hadn't, and his unprofessional demeanor, coupled with a hint of anger in his voice, prompted me to end the call, and subsequent calls from him were met with no response, and I have since blocked the number, as it's only logical that if the call was genuinely about a job, a message would have been left, and frankly, it's astonishing how many inconsiderate individuals exist.
Although I have a policy with the parent company of Protect Line, I still don't appreciate being harassed, so I refused to go through security protocols with the caller and asked them to contact me via email instead.
