There was silence before the line was disconnected, which seemed rather odd.
I picked up and was greeted with a hello and a "how can I help", even though they had dialled me. They claimed to be from Three, my mobile provider, which I don’t use.
Someone rang claiming to be from O2, then mentioned Sky. I told them I wasn't the account holder – it's my parent’s account – and they asked for my parent’s mobile numbers. I replied that the number is visible on the account. They hung up amid loud background noise. Definitely a call centre and a scam.
