I got a call this morning, but the background noise—like a call centre—made it impossible to hear most of what they said. They asked where I was calling from and which handset I used, even mentioning some discount. I told them to take me off their mailing list and not to ring again; they hung up without answering, and I've blocked the number.

A representative said they were from ‘The EE’, then clarified they were from Vodafone’s ‘VD’ network and tried to offer a bill reduction. I refused to give details and asked them to confirm what they knew, which they couldn't, before hanging up. A call‑back landed on a full mailbox. Clearly a scam – never share information with cold callers.
Someone pretended to be Sky, offering a 40% cut on my £40 bill down to £35 and an upgrade with no extra contract. I told them I needed time to think, and they suggested a callback. They then asked me to spell my name, insisting they already had it, and after a brief back‑and‑forth they abruptly ended the call, saying “have a nice day.” Clearly not a legitimate Sky representative.
