Scam callers pretending to be NatWest - +44 345 788 8444 (0345 788 8444)

A suspicious call was received, inquiring about transactions, and was quickly ended

Beware of callers claiming to be from your bank, as they may be attempting to deceive you into revealing sensitive information.

Similar to other reports here, this is a scam, not affiliated with NatWest. The caller introduced himself as James (he used the same name during a previous attempt, which seems rather foolish!). When I mentioned it sounded like a scam and that I’d have my partner contact NatWest directly, he promptly ended the call.

Blocked number after suspicious call

Be wary of this Natwest scam - they've cloned the number to appear genuine. A man with an African accent, supposedly from the Security Dept, claimed someone was attempting to make a purchase with our card details. He wanted us to confirm the last 4-digits of our 10-digit customer number, which is crucial for the scam if they already have your DOB details 'ddmmyy' (the first 6-digits). End the call immediately!

Received a call from a man claiming to be Mark from NatWest. He knew my name and wanted to verify transactions. I informed him I was aware this number was a scam, and he immediately ended the call. Don't fall for it!

Upon receiving a text message about a new payment setup on my bank account, I investigated further using this website and discovered it was likely a spoofing scam, so I didn't contact the number

Initially, this appeared to be a genuine NatWest number. However, 03457888444 is NOT a secure number to dial. Do not engage with them; hang up and reach out to your bank using the number on your card.

To avoid falling victim to scammers, it is advisable to ignore this number and contact your bank directly, as they attempted to deceive me into transferring funds to a fake account

Dont give enny details to this caller

Scammers have cloned this number. They called, alleging suspicious activity on my account and claimed to be partially blocking it. They requested the ‘Get Cash’ code from my online banking. I nearly fell for it but refused, saying I’d visit the branch to cancel my card. They hung up immediately. Be cautious—NatWest would never ask for such codes. Trust your instincts and call the bank directly if in doubt.

A scam call was received today, claiming to be from NatWest, with a cloned number, warning of suspicious transactions and requesting that I press 2 for more information - the call was terminated, and the incident was reported in person to NatWest, with a warning to be cautious, especially since the target was an elderly individual

Following a Google search for the NatWest Bank contact number, I contacted this number to resolve an issue with my unactivated account, but the experience was suspect, with the representative sounding unprofessional and attempting to coax me into emailing sensitive information to an address that later proved to be undeliverable.
