Royal Mail scam alerts – what to watch for - +44 345 774 0740 (0345 774 0740)

An accented woman, possibly Eastern European, asserted she was from Royal Mail regarding a package stuck in London that required redirection. She requested my assistance and wanted to email me to retrieve the item. Clearly deceptive.

A scammer, posing as a Royal Mail representative, contacted me claiming to have a package stuck in the London depot. They attempted to persuade me to click on a link, which led to a convincing replica of the Royal Mail website, albeit with some suspicious discrepancies. The site requested my email address, but I did not comply.

This number purported to be from the post office, yet I've never provided them with my contact information, suggesting a blatant scam attempt.

This appears to be a scam call.

A caller, purporting to be from Royal Mail, contacted me, claiming that I needed to pay £1.50 for redelivery of a package due to a missing stamp. They directed me to a website that resembled the Royal Mail site, but with some notable discrepancies, such as a grey globe icon instead of the Royal Mail logo. The caller was persistent in their request for payment by card, but I refused and reported the incident to Royal Mail.

Warning: this is a scam, they called twice, and when I called back from another number, they kept the line open for 5 minutes, resulting in a premium charge.

The caller knew my name and claimed to be from Royal Mail with a package, but didn't have my address.

A woman claiming to represent Royal Mail contacted me, stating I needed to pay £1.50 to retrieve a parcel held in London due to a stamp issue. She offered payment options but provided no address. Since I’m not expecting anything, I told her I’d collect it myself and ended the call.

They tried to scam me by saying i had a parcel, but i wasnt expecting one and told them no, then just hung up, no messsage was left

A suspicious call requested I pay £1.50 for a package supposedly held by Royal Mail, with the caller becoming pushy and attempting to keep me on the line to obtain my bank details

Beware of a Royal Mail scam. Paying the £1.50 for postage is unnecessary as Royal Mail does not operate this way. They could have access to your banking information, so it's best to avoid it!
