Royal Mail scam alerts – what to watch for - +44 345 774 0740 (0345 774 0740)

This number is a scam, they claim to be from royal mail, but its a fake

The scammer who called me from this number claimed to be from royal mail, but it was a fake call.

A woman, pretending to be from royal mail, provided a pickup adress that seemed unreasonably far away and suggested a re-delivery, which raised my suspisions, as normally they would attempt a delivery first. I provided a tempory email adress, and she became agressively inquisitive about whether I had recieved the email, which had gone into my spam folder, and was obviously not from Royal Mail, at which point I terminated the call.

this happend to me just an hour ago, they didnt even no my full name or adress, avoide them at all costs, ther not from royal mail

They masqueraded as Royal Mail, requesting personal details to redirect my parcel. A follow-up text included a payment link. It was a clever scam since my phone identified the number as Royal Mail, and the caller suggested I Google it for verification. They had my name and phone number.

The caller purported to be from Royal Mail, claiming I had a parcel to collect within 48 hours, but I'm sceptical - especially since they needed my email address to send tracking details. I suggested they redirect the parcel to the cyber crimes unit instead. Interestingly, when I searched the number online, it did appear to be affiliated with Royal Mail, which seems like a clever ruse.
