This number is definitely not affiliated with Halifax, it's a scam.

An email, allegedly from MBNA, was received, which appeared genuine at first glance, including a convincing email address, but upon closer inspection, poor grammar was evident, and I discovered I had no account with them, revealing the email to be a scam.

A recorded message, surprisingly convincing, assured the listener that no card number would be requested, yet proceeded to ask for a date of birth, likely targeting vulnerable individuals.

This number called me, said they were from MBNA, and there had been some fraudulent transactions, i told them i dont have a mbna card, then they got threatening so i reported it to the police.

I recieved a call from someone claiming to be from MBNA, saying they had noticed some fraudulent activity on my account, but i told them i would ring MBNA myself to check, and they hung up on me

This number is part of a scam posing as M&S credit card services, claiming card misuse. Do not provide any information and contact M&S directly. My advice is to cancel the card and start fresh.

Be aware that this is the genuine MBNA Customer Service Number, as printed on the back of the card, but beware of scam calls claiming to be from the MBNA Fraud Department, which may ask you to verify transactions and transfer your call.

A man claiming to be from MBNA's fraud department called from this number, but his manner and request for information seemed dubious, and a check with MBNA revealed no issues with my account.

They addressed me by my name and mentioned an MNBA credit card, asking for payment details. I realised it was a scam and hung up.

A call was received from an individual claiming to be from MBNA's fraud department, requesting security information, but the call was terminated immediately due to not having an MBNA card, indicating a potential scam.

I recieved a scam call, they claimed to be from Barclays Fraud Dept, they said ther was suspicious activity from my card starting 4659, but when i asked for the last 4 digits, he became agitated and stated he cant give them without me passing security, i knew it was a scam so i told him i would call back through barclays app, he hung up imediatly.

On 23/08/23, I received a call claiming to be from MBNA customer care, stating that there was suspicious activity on my account in Nigeria; the caller was believable, but when they said they didn't need to ask security questions, I became suspicious and hung up, later confirming with MBNA that it was a scam

Despite being listed as MNBA customer services, this is not legitimate. They disguise the number to appear genuine. Hang up and contact your credit card company directly. They are phishing for card details. Never share your card information. While convincing, legitimate companies don't require your card details.
