It's absolutly frightening how much effort is put into making this seem legitamate, with numerous positive comments that make you hesitate before dismissing it as a scam, which ofcourse it is, and it's becomming increasingly dangerrous
I recieved an automated call from Halifax whilst changing my device safe number, it was a legit call.
WARNING - This number is legitimately used by Halifax Bank, but after receiving a call (which I didn’t answer), I verified with Halifax, and they hadn’t contacted me. Clearly, someone has cloned the number to target Halifax customers with a scam. Exercise extreme caution if you receive a call from this number.
