If you’ve entered details for a Royal Mail, Evri or DPD missed‑delivery text, they’ll already have your number, postcode and the last four digits of your card. They’ll claim to have blocked two suspicious payments and will ask for your sort code and account number to “upgrade security”. Don’t give it up. When you Google the number it pretends to be legit, but it’s not. When I called them out, they snapped back with “suck my mum”. Hang up and ring HSBC using the number on the back of your card, mate.
